Easy-PC Version 14 - High Performance Electronics CAD

Take your Schematic and PCB Designs to the next level with Easy-PC 14- Release 14 is packed with over 20 significant new developments delivering the best value in a new version of Easy-PC.

Unlike a lot of PCB layout products, Easy-PC is under continual development with the development team advancing its technology capabilities all the time. Still an economically priced upgrade for existing Easy-PC users, it represents good value for money and continues to prove a sound investment for you.

Hierarchy

Schematic Hierarchy

Easy-PC V14 introduces hierarchy into the Schematic editor. As part of a project you can add hierarchical blocks to a design to represent circuitry. This means the top level design is less cluttered but has a direct link to your lower level design. Blocks can be created for logical functionality and used in multiple designs; blocks for a PSU, memory or an amplifier for example. This helps you maintain working designs and blocks of simulated data, thus speeding up your overall design process.

User Defined Named Grids

You can now add user named grids to Easy-PC designs. Normal grids as well as Polar (radial) grids can be created using a straight-forward dialog. Once grids have been defined, these can be displayed and used by all interactive options via the grid snap context menu. Mixed imperial/metric grids can be created, making swapping between them that much easier.

Grids
Trace Router

Trace-Router

The Trace-Router autorouter is a modern gridless autorouter utilising numerically stable mathematical topology, this coupled with a highly efficient push-aside routing algorithm makes this router ideal for most types of designs. The new Trace-Router option has been introduced to replace the Easy-Router. Users with an existing Easy-Router will be offered the Trace-Router free-of-charge when they upgrade to V14.

Radial Grid

Rotation Angle Precision

The rotation precision has been increased from 1/10th (0.1) degree to 1/100th (0.01) degree. This means when placing on a radial grid, the exact rotation step required can be achieved accurately.

True Width

Display of Item True Width

When designing, there are times when it would be highly desirable to switch off the true thickness of pads; for example, to declutter the design so that tracks and vias stand out more prominently. You can now do this using a simple switch in the Display dialog to switch off any design items true width; an outline of that shape will be drawn instead.
